How Do Flat Panel Antennas Work?

Waveguide is a cavity conductor made of metal materials with different shapes and have empty inside and closed outside to transmit signals, including circular waveguide, elliptic waveguide, square waveguide, rectangular waveguide and so on. It's essentially a wire that transmits a uhf signal - the microwave signal, with very low attenuation, much less than normal cable. Meanwhile, the waveguide has a good VSWR and a small reflection, which can ensure that most of the signals can be transmitted from the inlet end to the outlet end. In addition, the waveguide is a closed transmission line, which can completely ensure that the signal transmitted in the waveguide is free from various external interferences, and also ensures that the signal transmitted in the waveguide does not radiate out of the waveguide, thereby ensuring the quality and quantity of the transmitted signal.

Slot flat panel antenna is composed of three layers of metal after removing the plastic shell. The top layer is called the slot radiation layer, which is a lot of well-ordered cracks that are neatly laid out on the metal plate. These many cracks of uniform size are slot antenna units. The second layer of the slot flat antenna is the conduction layer, which coupling the radio signals absorbed by the radiating elements of the slot radiation layer to the third waveguide feed layer or called waveguide transmission layer through the corresponding Windows of the conduction layer. The third layer actually constitutes the transmission feed circuit of the waveguide together with the second conducting layer, thereby truly becoming a waveguide transmission layer.
